UVC Disinfection


Ultraviolet-C ( UVC ) is short-wavelength ultraviolet light ( 200~280 nm ) which be able to kill or inactivate microorganisms by damaging nucleic acid, forming pyrimidine dimer, inhibiting DNA/RNA replication and leaving them unable to perform cellular functions.

The most effective germicidal wavelength of UVC is 254 nm ( 253.7 nm precisely ). It is close to the average wavelength of nucleic acid ( DNA/RNA ) absorption.

Hyper Light Disinfection Robot is a specially designed system made to prevent Healthcare-Associated Infection ( HAI ) for any healthcare facilities by means of UVGI disinfection method. The germicidal UV ( wavelength 254nm UVC ) is capable of killing and inactivating microorganisms by destroying nucleic acids and disrupting DNA or RNA, leaving them unable to replicate and repair.

Quick and Effective for Room Decontamination

The system consists of 6 amalgam UVC lamps and patented rotational reflector technology to effectively distribute UVC output to the surroundings to inactivate and kill microorganisms. The technology provides an easy, fast, environmentally-safe and low maintenance operation for the operator throughout the lifetime of the product.

Kills Bacteria and Viruses even Fungus

The robot is clinically proven with the capability of eradicating 99.99% to 99.9999% of microorganisms (such as MDRO, bacterial spores, fungus, viruses) in 5 to 15 minutes.

Environmental Safety and Quality Care

Hyper Light Disinfection Robot emits no ozone and leaves no residuals so it is completely eco-friendly. Hyper Light Configuration

Amalgam Lamps
The amalgam lamps offer high power, low-pressure and ozone-free features; these special properties allow the lamps to operate at high temperature, produce no ozone gas, leave no toxic residues, generate low thermo-sensitivity and possess long lifetime (12,000 hrs) compared with conventional low-pressure mercury lamps.

Patented Protective Reflector
Rotational protective reflector technology is a patented design for multiple purposes. While the automatic rotational movement provides protection against dust contaminant ion and accidental damage to the lamp, the high reflectance coating allows UVC energy to be distributed uniformly at a constant high level and also increase the range in distance for disinfection.

Multi-Motion Sensor
Hyper Light is equipped with the all-around multi-motion sensor system to prevent potential injuries from accidental entry during the disinfection process. The system will automatically terminate the procedure seamlessly in association with the tablet to minimize injuries from UVC exposure.

Wireless Control: Tablet Control System
The intuitive tablet control system provides user-friendly interface for wireless operation and real time documentation for all your validation and verification processes. The disinfection data can be also exported for future research. 
Moreover, the tablet system provides additional protection via vibration detection to prevent potential injuries from accidental entry during the disinfection process.

Circular Handle
The ergonomically designed handle has an LCD screen display and buttons for easy use. The thin handle design does not obstruct the UV irradiation.

High Maneuverability
Hyper Light has four 4 inch omnidirectional wheels, enabling it to be pushed to any location in a hospital setting. The only 3.2kg of force is needed to move Hyper Light, conforming to AORN standards.

Easy for Operation

Multi-placement of Hyper Light for room disinfection could optimize the UVC exposure to high-touch surfaces. The typical operation time of each placement could be 5 minutes.

Clinical Disinfection Report

The germicidal efficacy of Hyper Light is verified by third-party international certification laboratories and clinically proven by hospitals, indicating that it can effectively kill pathogens in hospital setting and reduce contact infections between patients and healthcare workers. 
Hyper Light can eradicate 99.99% to 99.9999% of microorganisms (such as Multidrug-resistant organisms (MRSA, MDRAB, MDRPA, VRE), C. difficile spores, Fungus, Viruses ( H1N1, Influenza B, Enterovirus )) within 2.7 to 3 meters radius in 5 to 15 minutes. In the clinical trial, Hyper Light was operated in the general ward for total 15 minutes, and the reduction of high touch surfaces were nearly 100%.
